hi, i’m kait

i’m an illustrator and maker living in brooklyn, squeezing in creative time after my daughter’s bedtime and whenever else i can find a quiet corner while balancing my full-time corporate job.

a notebook margin would hate to see me coming when i was in school. i’d fill notebooks with doodles when i was supposed to be paying attention, and now i get to turn that habit into something a little more shareable. some of my work end up as finished prints or gifts to loved ones. some are still becoming something. a few you can even download or hang on your wall if you’d like.

most of my current work lives on my ipad: layers of sketchy illustrations, notes or poems when i can’t get a chain of words out of my head, playful prints, and other bits and pieces i feel like sharing.

i also return to fiber art when i can: crochet, macramé, and woven wall hangings, usually half-finished and draped over a chair, waiting for me to pick them back up.

this site is where i collect the work i’ve made and the work i’m still figuring out.

if something on here speaks to you and you’re interested in a custom piece or collaboration, i’d love to chat.
